Summer vacay..

Waking up in this dreamy destination again was wonderful… we spent 2 weeks on Rhodes Island and I literally cannot begin to tell you how much I love Greece. If you haven’t already realised, it’s by far my favourite destination in Europe. I just love the food, the culture, the people are so friendly and welcoming, it’s the empire of islands, honestly how many beautiful little beaches and bays can you visit! I could spend days island hopping and just settling into Greek life. It’s always time for coffee and you can always count on the nightlife, never a dull moment and very friendly atmosphere everywhere!

Lindos town is packed with narrow paved streets and lots of little shops and restaurants and vibrant bars. There’s also so many beaches and bays to visit so you’ll find plenty to do.

It was our first family holiday in YEARS and we’d booked to stay at the Lindia Athena Luxury Villas in Lindos by Vlycha Bay. – STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!

Lindos is a beautiful town, perfect for families, couples, weddings or a girls vacay 🙂

A few of our favourite restaurants in Lindos

Date night

Olive Street – quite small but so cute, I would love to decorate my kitchen at home like this or perhaps I should just move to Greece and invest in a little home for myself and Chris on a beautiful Greek island. This is one of our favourite restaurants, it has outdoor seating but mainly tables for 2-4 people so not ideal for big groups. It was definitely a dining experience to remember, the surroundings were stunning and they had my Aperol Spritz on the go all night, so I was very happy. Like most of the restaurants here, you get an amazing view of the city, especially of the Acropolis.

Beach vibes

Tambakio – A Lindos treasure and the restaurant is situated in one of the most beautiful bays in Greece, St Paul’s Bay. It’s also opposite the most quaint little church so a wedding hot spot for sure. You can get drinks here throughout the day, lunch and dinner! It’s perfect for a romantic candlelit dinner but we also booked a table right on the water with my family and watched the sun go down before dinner..

Seafood

Ambrosia  – Greek/Mediterranean cuisine, beautiful decor and amazing wine cellar! This is one of my favourite restaurants for seafood and the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. We had a sparkling wine called Cair which is quite popular in Rhodes and we soon knew why.. other than prosecco, this was enjoyed a lot throughout our holiday.

Good vibes bar

Antika – Chris & I discovered this little gem the year before and we loved it! Nice outdoor terrace and rooftop, cute coves inside and good music. It’s safe to say we worked our way through the cocktail menu and as the night goes on, it gets busier & livelier. We would probably end up in here after most meals in the evenings.

St Pauls Bay
Despite it’s diminutive size, this has to be the most beautiful bay I have ever been to. For a good spot, during peak season, I would definitely recommend getting there early but it is so worth a visit. There is a pretty little church built on the hillside and is a very popular wedding location, most likely because of the beautiful views of the bay and Lindos Acropolis. Crystal clear water and an amazing little restaurant/bar to the left of the bay called Tambakio which I mentioned earlier in my post.

Agathi Beach
Agathi beach is one of the best beaches in Rhodes. Beautiful soft golden sand and crystal clear waters, perfect for swimming, sunbathing and relaxation. We drove about 20 minutes out of Lindos to get there and the water is actually quite shallow so you can go right out into the sea. A few bars and restaurants along the beach, everything from your English breakfast to your souvlaki, pitta and tzatziki.

My moisture mist, perfect for skin, hair and keeping cool!

When you are out and about, it’s nice to know that in one easy spray, you have given your skin a moisturising treat. Moisture Spray leaves your skin feeling refreshed, especially when you are out in the sunshine, travelling or if you just want to give your hair a little spritz in between drying and styling ❤

Being a redhead and sensitive skinned, I’ve spent years finding the right sun protection and skincare for me.  I loved our Sunright SPF 35 on holiday, no irritation to the skin or blocked pores causing heat rashes. Excessive sun exposure can lead to unwanted consequences, including premature appearance of the visible signs of ageing on the skin, like lines and wrinkles, yuck! We all want youthful skin forever… so stay protected ❤

G R E E C E you’re always good to us… so until next time ❤
